Our winter tasks include cleaning the barns, sharpening more tools, changing engine oils and spark plugs, growing greenhouse tomatoes (starting January 15)…and sleeping in!

Recipe of the week

This week we have a couple of tips:

1.  Slice your turnips on top of a salad of fresh spinach and salad mix.

2. For winter squash recipes, go online and search for desserts–pumpkin bars, pumpkin cheesecake, pumpkin cookies, etc.  Our squashes work well as pumpkin substitutes.
