Salad mix

Cauliflower You can cook the florets in 1 cup of water for about 15 minutes.  For a sauce, try: 1/2 c. mayonnaise, 1/2 c. sour cream, 1/2 tsp. dill weed, 1 tsp. mustard, 1/2 tsp. lemon juice.  Or just add salt and butter.

Onions Sweet onions are white with a few inches of green stem, storage onions have no stems

Basil See pesto recipe below!

Tomato Organic, soil-grown (not hydroponic), vine-ripened, local tomatoes!

*English cucumber

Broccoli

*New red potatoes

Recipe of the Week

Pesto!  We had this for farm lunch today and it went over well.

Fresh pesto pasta with Clay Bottom Farm tomatoes and basil.

1 bag basil

2 cloves garlic

4 oz. parmesan block cheese

(or 1/2 cup grated parmesan)

1 C walnuts

1/2 C olive oil

1/2 t. salt

1/2 t. pepper

Pulse in your food processor or blender.  Serve over 1 package of your choice pasta.  We ate it over spaghetti with fresh tomatoes and mushrooms.

Welcome to Clay Bottom Farm

We are a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) farm, located 7 miles east of Goshen, Indiana. We are young people dedicated to sustainable agriculture and to providing customers a source of fresh, local fruits and vegetables. We have a 40 member CSA with deliveries of fresh fruits and vegetables June-December in Goshen, Elkhart, Middlebury, and Warsaw. We also have a booth at the Goshen Farmers Market.
